Matt Lyne

Starting out as a radio DJ in the UK, Matt quickly made the transition to club DJ after receiving requests to play at parties and events. In 2005, after a weekly residence at a UK club for 7 months Matt moved to Japan.

Matt ran he own event Diskotopia in Osaka for four years, where he hosted Hot Chip, Modeselektor and Holy Ghost! and many more. While doing so he was booked to DJ at events alongside many other top artists including James Murphy, M.I.A., Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Swayzak and Ivan Smagghe.

At the same time he started his solo project A Taut Line and very soon his remix of Tokyo band Vivians was released on their Jennie Richee EP (Rallye/Klee). This remix gained him a lot of attention and shortly after giving 80Kidz their first big show in Osaka at his Diskotopia party, they signed him to their label Kidz Records. Since then he has remixed many acts from all over the world, and had his tracks Divisions and Fighting For Your Love released on the Kidz Records' compilations.

In March 2009 Matt and his Diskotopia event have moved to Tokyo with a new resident line-up and brands new sounds.

He now regularly DJs around Tokyo and continues to run the Diskotopia event, spinning an eclectic mix of Dub-Techno (Modern Love, Basic Channel, Hotflush...), Disco & Acid House (DFA, Rong, Rekids...) to Leftfield Electronica (Warp, Rephlex, Planet Mu...) and Chicago Post-Rock (Thrill Jockey, Southern...)

音楽シーンへの最初の出演は1999年。イギリスのポストロックバンド、Toomanyzerosでドラムを担当。バンドは様々な場所でライブを成功させ、Oedipus（現のBlood Red Shoes）と一緒にシングルをリリースした。それがBBC Radio１のイブニングセッションでかけられた。

それから、英国でラジオDJとして始め、様々な人からクラブイベントやパーティにリクエストされ、ラジオDJからクラブDJへ移行して自身のパーティDiskotopiaを始めた。

2005年に大阪へ移り James Murphy、M.I.A、Yeah Yeah Yeahs、Ivan Smagghe、Optimo、Santiago Salazar のサポートDJなど彼は様々なパーティーに
参加。Diskotopiaの過去のゲストDJとしてHot Chip（DFA）、ジェームズスミス（Tramp!）とModeselektor（BPitch Control）,Horrors, Holy Ghost!(DFA) を呼ぶなど　今後も目が離せないパーティへとなった。

その時から始めたソロプロジェクト、A Taut LineはすぐにViviansのremixを手掛け、
Jennie Richee EP (Rallye/Klee)としてリリースされた。
それらの反響も含めて、80Kidzが大阪で初の大観客の彼のパーティDiskotopia
に登場した。
他の国のアーティストにリミックスを手掛けるうちに、Kidz Recordsからもオファー
が来て、彼の曲　Divisionsが Kidz Records Oneのコンピレーションに選曲された。

現在東京に移り、色々なパーティでのDJがブッキングされ、彼の曲　Fighting For Your Love がKidz Records 2のコンピレーションに近々リリースされる.
